The good news – It’s free – and will updated periodically.

About 2.5 years ago I did a workshop at FOSS4GNA 2023 in Baltimore and it was “QGIS Tips and Tricks”. It was a pile of small things that QGIS does that possibly no one knows about. I covered a lot of things from Profiles To Multiple Views….to color blind modes….. A lot of what I talk about has been around for a while. Some is a bit new. QGIS does enough that you almost get hyperfocused on a few things and just don’t know about some of the other stuff.

Which reminds me – I need to add this into the mix. So I was working on a map and an online layer I was relying on went down. Sometimes QGIS will error out – sometimes it gets stuck. I had enough things in the Project I didn’t want to “recreate it”. I actually couldn’t remember everything I had in there. Soooooo – Watch this. I had stored my Data in a geopackage. I had also stored my Symbology in the Geopackage. So with the Browser you can navigate and “open” your QGZ Files.

There’s all my data layers. I can drag them into a new session with the symbology (I saved in the Geopackage) . So there you go – your data isn’t locked up because of one goofy layer that isn’t acting right.

I guess I’ll add that to the Class this week.
